Since it’s rest day and there’s not much to talk about except where you hurt, I thought I’d ask how everyone’s diet’s are going. It’s probably the hardest part about being fit to control (and still is much easier effort-wise than any workout). Are you sticking to it? Are you ready to go a little farther? Do you need people to hold you accountable to stay out of the fatty cakes or in my case to eat more?
Some good recipes for feeding the machine:

Oh, and milk and back squats. And stretching.

Since you asked….
After I weighed in for the first month, and saw how much progress I was making, I was psyched. But it’s been 2 weeks since then and I’ve lost practically nothing. I’m getting frustrated but know I have plenty of things to change before I start wondering why.
I have been going off the CrossFit sheet Sarah gave me on the block foods and amounts I should be eating, but I must be cheating too much or not weighing the things I think I have right. I’m a little frustrated. Sam’s (my husband) also annoyed because I just pick items off the lists and eat them in the amounts I’m suppose to. He usually “cooks” for the both of us and doesn’t get why I don’t. It’s easier for me to just find things to eat. Like… 2oz turkey, 1oz cheese, 3/4C black beans and 9 almonds. Having recipes AND the ingredients might help. He tried one off the CrossFit list but it tasted like crap.
Goal:
Lose more weight before the next weigh in – I’m hoping for at least 6 lbs total.
Objectives:
*Weigh and count EVERYTHING
*Eat all blocks of protein, carbs and fats – and go to the store if I don’t have something
*Check out the links from Sam & Jared, and try to find recipes that my hubs and I will both like.
*No cheating (I’ve been eating at least 2-3x the amount of fats that I’m suppose to be. PB is my #1 weakness)
Does anyone want to just prepare my meals every day? That would be awesome.

Nothing too confusing there Mary, overdoing the fat is the main culprit there! simple solution, be strict with measuring ur fat blocks! and ur body will start burning ur fat for energy, not the extra fat blocks ur eating :)
In Conclusion: If you eat too much fat, your body will burn that for energy, instead of burning your bodyfat for energy, which is the goal obviously…
and do NOT go to 70sbig.com like I told Sam to lol

Go to zonediet.com. Sign up for user ID (no charge) Lists tons of zone receipes. And has a 7 day meal planner.
You can even search by ingredient, like Chicken and will bring up chicken receipes.
Im on board for hiring a cook!!

To hell with that, I’m down with the 70sbig.com diet! ;-) I am attempting to do the zone diet, but I guess I am an idiot, and I have never figured out exactly how much of what to eat of what. I eat the fruit/cottage cheese breakfast daily, and try to be smart from there. No soda, no fast food (except pitapit if that counts). It is very hard at the fire station, there is candy and soda around every corner it seems.

I think I struggle with the zone diet because 1) I love me some bread, pasta, etc. 2) I get lazy with my eating 3) I’m still eating for two. I want to watch what I eat, but I don’t want it to become dangerous for me or Selah. Anyone know someone I can ask about smart eating for someone who is breastfeeding?
