The Articles Are Not Meant To Cause Mass Confusion: Consider Them Food For Thought, Not Bible Verses To Live By, Except Back Squats and Milk, That Is Written In Stone. Good Day.

5 person teams, 1 person working at a time:

How many people should there be per team? The reps are a total…right…not what each person needs to do?

5 per team. Total reps per team.

I’m pretty happy with my part of this morning’s workout. I wish I could have contributed more qty but I’m glad we had the perfect execution “rule”. I did the squat cleans RX, 10 rep pullups with 1-band and my consecutive double unders are getting better (double/singles on the turf). Ring dips on the other hand… feels like it will take eternity to get to RX. I’ve been able to do them before, but on bars, not rings. I have a feeling rings are 10x harder. Rowing was mediocre – but I went for as long as I could w/ it under 2:00.
Still haven’t cheated on the meal plan since Monday. I’ve been logging my food daily on http://www.livestrong.com/myplate/. I’m surprised when I compare the final Protein/Carb/Fat totals vs. what I measure out from the CrossFit list. For instance, yesterday, I ate 3, 3-block meals according to the list of items on the favorable list (green beans, black beans, etc.). But my daily totals (according to this website) were 94gP (instead of 77g), 114gC (instead of 99g) and 39gF (instead of 33g). I could overanalyze and try to measure based on that exact package CPF numbers, but that would be a pain in the ass. I’m just going to keep going off the CrossFit list.
Temptation: I made Sam a chocolate cake with home made pink butter cream frosting last night. The house still smelled like cake when I came home this morning. It was delightful. But really… I’m happy. I’m happy that he can eat an ENTIRE cake with a double batch of butter mixed with sugar and not gain a pound. Guys make me sick.

Great job this morning everyone. Charlie, while a DB, is one hell of a motivation. I am proud of all the WFR guys, and our new friends that kick ass with us. You all are a special group of people.

Is if everyone couldn’t tell, Chuck D isn’t really writing those posts. Chuck D apperantly recorded his time on the station 1 computer, that keeps his login info for the next time. Some people (read not me) find it amusing to add comments. these comments come for a certain person that never in a million years would sign up for Crossfit. So, to recap, Chuck D isn’t a dick, well, as big of a dick, and I had nothing to do with it except stop it.

Work outs like these make me feel my age. It might be time to throw in the towel and look into water aerobics. Whoops i guess i’ll need that towel.

Thanks Jared or whoever edited out the earlier comments from the fake Charlie. Some of my fellow firefighters find it amusing to play stupid games. While they would never be able to take on a daunting task like CrossFit, they like to act like children. On behalf of your fellow CrossFit athletes from Waterloo Fire, as well as on behalf of the proud men and women of Waterloo Firefighters Local 66, I apologize for the earlier comments.

My 4 man team did awesome!! Nick R, Michelle, Marc (not sure if c or k) and me. 100% effort all around. Troy jumped in for DBUnders and Row. Time was somewhere around 49 minutes.
Michelle and I did RX for Clean/Squat, jumping dips(2 jumps count as one), and single band P-ups. Guys RX. Marc with 3 to 1 jumprope.

The whole reason i ended up at Crossfit was the want\need to be challenged. I wouldn’t put my time or energy into a class that did anything less. My favorite work outs are the ones that kick my xfit toned booty. ;)
